KSN ‘Dresses’ Kristen For Award Season!

Awards season 2012 is just around the corner, and we’ve come up with our fantasy list of designs for Kristen Stewart. We’re playing her stylist for Fashion Patrol on an imaginary red carpet for events we would most like to see her attend this winter. As stylist-to-our-favorite-star, we tried to keep in mind Kristen’s general aesthetic, while still infusing some of our own fashion wishes for her. With Spring 2012 Couture still to show, we picked from recent collections and focused on silhouette, color, and style knowing that a couture number could pop up in January and change our story!

Kristen Mixes Things Up On Her ‘Breaking Dawn’ Press Duties

Kristen’s whirlwind ‘Breaking Dawn’ press tour took her through a “something old, something new” fashion journey. She slipped into designs by J. Mendel, Camilla and Marc, Monique Lhuillier and Brian Atwood, who are tried & true successes for her. But, Kristen also zipped up in the creations of designers that are new to her red carpet/event fashion repertoire- namely Marios Schwab, Barbara Bui and Roberto Cavalli. And, while we could never have a press tour without Kristen flaunting her mile long legs in her favorite mini’s, it was really her glorious gowns that had us all talking. The dramatic, beaded Cavalli-created gown she glided down the London white carpet gave Kristen her, dare-we-say, ‘Fashion Moment’ of the year!

Kristen Goes High Fashion For Vogue Italia

Vogue Italia has the reputation for being the fashion magazine in Vogue’s numerous incarnations. It’s a serious look at fashion as an art form. In the November issue, Kristen poses her way to her first foray into a true High Fashion editorial. The pieces are intricate and dramatic, and her look is stylized and sculpted. She looks like she could step out of a portrait in the Armani coat or off of a sculptor’s pedestal in the Giambattista Valli. Yet, in every picture, you can still see Kristen’s own personal style- that edge and with a touch of vulnerability.

Makeup Artist Jillian Dempsey Dishes On Kristen’s Smudgy Plum Shadow

All eyes were on Kristen Stewart’s eyes at the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. The reason? Dramatic plum eye shadow courtesy of Avon Global Creative Color Director Jillian Dempsey. “Kristen and I decided we didn’t want the eye makeup to look too hard,” Dempsey told us. She smudged liner and crème base and topped it with a diffuse wash of matte shadow, angling the makeup upwards at the edges for a slight cat-eye. The flat finish kept Stewart looking sultry and smooth through, “all of the flashing,” says Dempsey. The rest of the star’s face lit-up in palette of nudes and neutrals letting those stunning lids take center stage.

Thanks Instyle!

Adir Abergel Dishes On How To Get Kristen’s Romantic ‘Breaking Dawn’ Premiere Up-do

Adir Abergel created a textured updo for Kristen Stewart at the premiere ofThe Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. The inspiration:  An edgy, yet romantic look. Adir was inspired to create an up-do that still felt like Kristen’s usual tousled and textured style with a touch of rockability. Combined with the rockstar makeup, it’s a beauty shout-out to Joan Jett, whom she played in The Runaways–but a little more polished.

How To Get the Look

Adir began by applying Fekkai Bouffant Lifting and Texturizing Spray Gel to the roots of the hair to build texture. He then applied Fekkai Oceanique Tousled Wave Spray throughout the rest of the hair and rough dried it to create a beachy and textured base for the up-do. Adir then took random pieces and created standard braids, fishtail braids and twists throughout the hair in various sizes, leaving the very top of the hair loose. He then took all of the hair except for the loose hair at the top, and knotted and twisted it to create an up-do. He used hairpins to create a very undone look. To finalize the look Adir backcombed the front of the hair to add volume, then pushed it back and pinned it in place. He secured the look by spraying the hair with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray.

Products Used
Fekkai Bouffant Lifting and Texturizing Spray Gel ($25), Fekkai Oceanique Tousled Wave Spray ($25), and Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray ($21). All are available at Fekkai.com and NordstromNeiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue stores.

Thanks to Amber! :)
