In January of 2012, the Fashion and Beauty world welcomed Kristen Stewart into its fragrance-dabbed arms when she was announced as the face of Balenciaga’s new perfume Florabotanica. Over the course of the following months Kristen joined Balenciaga’s Creative Director, Nicolas Ghesquiere during Fashion Week, at the fabled Met Gala, in New York City to shoot the campaign and even in Paris to introduce Kristen to the fashion world press. Kristen and Nicolas had the opportunity to talk about the fragrance, the fashion house, their creative spirit and working and creating art with each other.

During the chat Kristen revealed her thoughts on Florabotanica:
It is very “fresh and French.”
“It can change who you are, how you feel.”
“I think it’s alluring; I think it’s bold, present…. natural which is very important.”
If Florabotanica were a film, Kristen thinks it would be “super Alice In Wonderland-y”
In 2013 Nicolas Ghesquiere made the decision to exit Balenciaga and enter the world of Louis Vuitton as their new Artistic Director. While the fashion world was saddened by his departure, Kristen’s work with Balenciaga rolled on. Releasing their 2nd ‘Botanica’ fragrance, this time taking a lighter, more sheer approach. ‘Rosabotanica‘ is described as “Floral, a bright and spicy rose”. In the campaign we see a ‘topless’ Kristen with gorgeous, colorful vines growing all over her body. As if the scent has completely enveloped her. Both the ads and the fragrance are absolutely lovely.
