The American Film Institute‘s annual festival, simply referred to as AFI Fest, will be host to the US Premiere of On The Road. Walter Salles’ film based on the Kerouac novel will be a Centerpiece Gala Premiere on Saturday, November 3rd at 8pm at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. The American Film Institute’s annual celebration of international cinema from modern masters and emerging filmmakers, AFI FEST features nightly red-carpet galas, special screenings, conversations and tributes.

AFI Fest runs from November 1st through the 8th in Hollywood. Tickets are free, but doled out in a lottery system. You must pre-register beginning on October 11th through the 18th. For all the details on the ticketing process, head over to the AFI website. There are also festival passes for sale, as well as tickets which can grant you priority access to the special screenings.
